Terrorists suspected of being members of Boko Haram/ISWAP Islamist militant group have reportedly killed nine residents of Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State last night.
According to Yerwa News, the suspected Boko Haram terrorists arrived in the town on ten motorcycles, each carrying a different type of weapon.

They attacked the town from two directions, burning down a piece of the Government Technical Collage Geidam in Geidam, the local government’s headquarters.
While confirming the incident on Thursday morning, a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force claimed to have seen nine bodies.
He also stated that they appeared to have been killed through slaughtering.

Another person was reportedly shot and killed in the town’s Anguwan Kori neighborhood.
The terrorists also injured a large number of persons, who are presently being treated at a medical facility that our sources are not aware of.
‘At the scene, I saw nine dead bodies—seven males and two females.’ ‘One person was also injured,’ claimed a member of the CJTF who did not want to be identified.
Another report claimed that they had noticed suspicious armed persons on the Maiduguri – Damaturu Road prior to the unfortunate incident.
‘Earlier in the day, we saw guys wearing suspicious turbans and carrying locally made firearms along the Maiduguri – Damaturu Highway.’ ‘Some appeared to be in military fatigue,’ according to our source.
This shows that the terrorists are linked to the notorious Timbuktu Triangle.
There has yet to be an official comment released about the incident.
