The Nigerian Military says its army troops have again, inflicted heavy casualty on Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during the ongoing clearance operations around Manjo Ali Qere in Borno State on Thursday the 28th day of April 2022

The Nigerian Army disclosed this in a post on its verified Facebook page.

According to the post, several Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists were neutralized including the Amir and a spiritual leader.

The NA also posted photos of the lifeless bodies of several Boko Haram terrorists, and some of the items recovered from the terrorists including a generator, bicycle, motorcycle and various weapons.

“Gallant Troops of Operation Desert Sanity neutralized several ISWAP/BokoHaram terrorists including the Amir & spiritual head of Galta during an aggressive clearance operation around Manjo Ali Qere in Borno State on Thursday 28 April 2022. Arms & Ammunition were also captured from the fleeing terrorists.”

The Nigerian Army has increased the intensity of its clearance operations to drive out terrorist remnants on the outskirts of Lake Chad and other parts of the Northeast, in keeping with its desire to bring the war to a conclusion and restore total peace in the country.

The Defence HQ said in a recent press release that the operational activities of our troops across the North East, Nigeria in the past 3 weeks has yielded significant successes.

According to the press release, during the ongoing clearance operations, troops allegedly neutralized a prominent Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) Commander Abubakar Dan-Buduma and scores of the terrorists.

Also a notorious informant and logistic supplier to the Islamic State of West Africa Mallam Abba Sidi Lawan was arrested at Auno town in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
