VIDEO: Largest boko haram detention facility uncovered by Nigerian troops

Nigerian Army Troops of Lake Sanity continue it’s streak of success as it seized Boko Haram/ISWAP largest detention center and rescue over 120 persons including a soldier held captive by the insurgents in Sambisa on Wednesday.

This is another major feat by the gallant troops in the North East.

Recall that a few days ago, GallantMilitary reported that Nigerian troops of same Operation Lake SANITY overran a Boko Haram/ISWAP Central Vehicle Fabrication Workshop (Mechanic Workshop) around the Lake Chad region.

During the operation, troops neutralized many terrorists and recovered weapons and equipments from the insurgents. The Army also destroyed Boko Haram’s Mechanic Workshop, as were several bunkers where the insurgents store their fuel.

Thousands of Boko Haram/ISWAP militants, including combatants, non-combatants, and foot soldiers, as well as their families, have continued to lay down their arms and accept peace in some sections of the North East following the Nigerian military bombardment.

Boko Haram has been fighting in northeast Nigeria since 2009. Its attacks have spread to Niger, Chad, and Cameroon, eliciting a military response. The group has also become splintered, with one faction pledging allegiance to ISIL (ISIS).

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Nigeria, more than 350,000 people have been killed and three million civilians have been displaced in the country’s more than a decade of fighting.
