Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters kill 13 in Borno within 48 hours

In Borno State, northeast Nigeria, at least 13 people have been reportedly killed by Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in less than 48 hours.

Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters allegedly ambushed Sabongari village, a few kilometers outside of Damboa town in the state’s Damboa Local Government Area, on Sunday.

Local vigilantes told the Daily Post on Sunday that the dreaded Islamic militants killed seven individuals.

This comes just 24 hours after an attack in the Biu Local Government Area’s Mandaragirau and Ghuma communities.

It had also been less than 48 hours when terrorists assaulted Kautikari hamlet in Chibok, killing a number of people.

Locals of Mandaragirau village said the terrorists are attacking their community for the second time in February.

According to them, they abducted some young men from the village the first time they came, and till this day, those men are still held captive.

According to locals, the dreaded Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters killed three people in Mandaragirau village and injured many others.

“They reportedly kidnapped two females and looted food in Ghuma village. “They also demolished stores and took some cattle with them,” claimed Umar Audu, a witness.
