The Theartre Commanders Special Response Squad have inflicted heavy casualty on Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in an ambush in Pulka general area, according to @ZagazOlaMakama a counter insurgency expert on Twitter.
Zagazola, in a tweet on Monday, revealed that the Theartre Commanders Special Response Squad ambushed fleeing Boko Haram terrorists crossing between Pulka to Frigi in Gwoza LGA of Borno State.

He however did not mention what the terrorists were fleeing from but we’re suspecting that it could be as a result of the aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force.

He said that two terrorists were neutralised during the encounter. Aside from the neutralised terrorists, several others escaped leaving their shoes behind, as they fled in disarray.

According to him, the fierce encounter occurred on February 14.
He wrote;
“The Theartre Commanders Special Response Squad on 14 Feb. laid ambush against fleeing Boko Haram terrorists crossing between Pulka to Frigi in Gwoza LGA.
They killed 2 of the terrorists while many escaped leaving their shoes behind as Valantine for the troops.”

Because of terrorist disturbances, an estimated three million people have abandoned their homes in the Northeast, and many have died.
Gwoza’s location made an ideal base for Boko Haram terrorists: The nearby Mandara Mountains offered protection and the jihadists could flee into Cameroon until the military there stepped up patrols. There is a complex system of caves and tunnels, some of which burrow hundreds of metres into the mountainside.
