According to the Nigerian Army, Gallant Troops of 29 Brigade today Monday 6 June 2022 neutralized several BHT/ISWAP Terrorists who earlier blocked Maiduguri-Damaturu Road in Goni Masari.
It would be recalled that in the early hours of today, BHT/ISWAP terrorists allegedly attacked Commuters around the axis of Goni Matari located between Minok to Jakana along Maiduguri Damaturu.

They burnt a petrol tanka leading to the temporary closure of the road.
The situation was later brought under control by troops of Op Hadin Kai who gave the terrorists a hot pursuit with the help of the Nigerian Air Force.
According to a statement by the army, several of the fleeing terrorists were neutralized. Arms and ammunitions including various assorted drugs and enhancers were also recovered from the terrorists.
Additionally, the 5 victims abducted by the terrorists were also rescued.
