Notorious arms dealer who sells weapons to one of the most wanted bandit leaders in Nigeria, Bello Turji, has been apprehended by Gallant officers of the Nigerian police.
On Tuesday, the police also announced the arrest of 36 gunmen with ties to Turji from around Sokoto State.

AIG Ahmed Zaki Gwandu, the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara, confirmed this, adding that special forces discovered the camps linked to Bello Turji.

The raid was carried out by Operation Sahara Storm personnel in three locations: Rabah, Goronyo, and Illela.

Musa Mohammed Kamarawa, a 33-year-old arms dealer to Bello Turji, was among those arrested, according to Gwandu.
Karamawa admitted to owning the firearms and said he planned to send Bello Turji a truck laden with rifles worth at least N28 million before his arrest.
Gwandu reportedly revealed that authorities recovered 1,412 rounds of ammunition, four pistols, three armored personnel carriers, four cars, drugs, 16 cellphones, and 150 cows.

Grenades and a rocket launcher are among the other weapons.
Similarly, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, a spokesperson for the Sokoto State Police Command, said the success was due to cooperation between the security agencies in the state.
