The Birnin Gwari Kaduna highway has over the years become dangerous with series of abductions taking place on the road.
Several passengers were feared abducted Tuesday morning after bandits attacked motorists on Birnin Gwari Kaduna highway.
Gallant Military Info gathered that Bandits kidnapped a number of students and other travelers in the early hours of Tuesday, the 31st day of May, 2022, along the notorious Birnin Gwari Kaduna highway in Kaduna State.
The bandits also set fire on eight vehicles transporting the student to their examination for admission into the School of Health at Makarfi, scheduled for Kaduna State University.

Reacting to the attack, one Idris Saidu, the Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union’s (BEPU) Public Relations Officer, confirmed the occurrence in a statement.
According to the statement, the bandits besieged three different locations on the highway, forcing motorists to make a u-turn.
Those who were not lucky fell into the trap set by the bandits and were subsequently abducted.

Bandits have targeted motorists and commuters in Nigeria’s Northwest.. Many of those kidnapped are usually released after ransom payments are made.
The Birnin Gwari Kaduna road is undoubtedly the country’s most dangerous road. People who ply the road are often attacked and abducted by bandits.
Commuters were compelled to switch to the Abuja – Kaduna railway due to banditry on the highway, but that, too, has been targeted. Bandits attacked a Kaduna-bound train in March, killing nine people and kidnapping numerous others.
