BAMISHE’S DEATH: Omininikoron Nice, the BRT bus driver arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of a passenger, Oluwabamise Ayankole, has been accused of rape by another female passenger in Lagos State.
Omininikoron allegedly raped the female victim on November 25, 2021, according to the female victim, who spoke exclusively to PUNCH Metro.
According to the Punch, the victim decided to speak up now so that justice would prevail for Oluwabamise, whose body was discovered in Ebute Ero after she was last seen on a BRT bus operated by Omininikoron Nice.

On Thursday, the lady told the Punch correspondent about her ordeal and accused the 47-year-old of raping her on the BRT bus.
After she left work at 8 p.m., the former sales girl at a business in Ajah said she boarded the suspect’s BRT bus.

When the driver was supposed to take her from the Alesh Bus Stop in Ajah to Jakande on the Lekki Epe Expressway, things took a turn for the worse.
“While we were on our way, he turned off the bus’s light, but the AC was still on,” she explained. He abruptly parked the bus as we approached the first toll gate going from Ajah. He then motioned for me to take a seat in the front and began asking me a series of questions.
“I spotted him using a drug, and I assumed he parked the bus so he could take it before time ran out.” He began making approaches towards me a few minutes later, and I could see that his manhood had grown. I became agitated and demanded to be let down, but he refused to unlock the door.
“He stated he wanted us both to relax and that he wanted to have sex with me, but I declined.” He suddenly pulled out a knife and forced me to the bus’s back seat. He demanded that I remove my clothes, but I refused. He threatened to kill me. He tore my gown and raped me after forcibly removing the biker short I was wearing. “I felt sad.”
The victim said she was unable to get assistance because Omininikoron Nice had parked the bus in a deserted spot and refused to let her leave after reportedly raping her.
“He insisted on driving me to my destination at Jakande Bus Stop,” she continued. He didn’t open the door when we arrived at my bus stop. He asked for my account number and began apologizing for what he had done. He stated that he wanted to transfer money to me in order to get painkillers.
“I refused to give him my account, but he persisted in demanding for it and refusing to let me out of the bus.”
He took my phone before raping me, and because I needed a proof, I gave him my account number, and he transferred N3,000. After that, he opened the door and I walked out.
“I couldn’t speak up because I was ashamed of what happened and didn’t think I’d be able to get justice.” But when his photos began to circulate online after Bamishe’s murder, I told a friend that I knew him (Omininikoron Nice).
“After seeing his coloured photo, I went to my bank and asked for my statement of account, tracing the day he sent me the money, and it was the same name, Omininikoron Nice, as in the circulated picture.”
“I told a friend about it, and she put me in touch with a human rights activist.” Some may question my decision to speak out now, but I am speaking out for the girl. That man must not be set free since he is to blame for everything that has happened.”
On November 25, 2021, Omininikoron Nice sent her N3,000, according to a statement of account submitted by the victim.
The Punch correspondent also revealed that they saw a video clip of her shredded cloths.
CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, a police spokesperson, urged the victim to file a formal report of the incident.
“If the victim has a case against him, she should report to the nearest police station or the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba,” he added, adding that the case would be examined.
