In the early hours of Friday, December 31, 2021, the combined patrol team of Osun and Ondo States operatives of the Western Security Network, Amotekun, caught a suspected armed robber who was known for disturbing commuters along the Osu/Ondo expressway.
According to a news report provided by DAILY POST, the suspect was apprehended while attempting to commit another heist along the road with other gang members.
Coincidentally, Amotekun operatives who were on patrol around the axis noticed that there was something creepy about their movement and immediately gave them a hot chase.

According to the report, immediately after sighting Amotekun operatives, the armed robbers took to their heels by retreating into a nearby forest.
Luckily one of them (Pictured above) was arrested.

Recall that on Wednesday, a J5 bus carrying two people and valuables from Lagos State was attacked on this same Osu/Ondo road.
Amotekun personnel on patrol during the holiday season were able to rescue one of the armed robbery victims and dislodged the armed criminals, but the J5 bus driver remained missing the report says.
The apprehended suspect, who confessed to working with others on the road for a long time, revealed that their weapon of choice was made of wood and built in the shape of a semi-automatic rifle during interrogation.
