Again, Troops Rescue Another Chibok Schoolgirl, She Reveals How Her Boko Haram Husband Died [Video]

Army rescues another Chibok Schoolgirl: Again, another lady believed to be one of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls has been rescued from terrorists’ captivity. This takes the number of rescued Chibok Schoolgirls to 3 within the space of one (1) month.

The story about the newly rescued lady was confirmed in a Twitter video posted by ZagazolaMakama, a counter insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region.

Zagazola revealed that the girl was rescued on the 29th of June, 2022, by troops of  21 Army Armoured Brigade Bama after she escaped from the Boko Haram enclave in the axis of Bama Local Government Area.

The girl, who was found with a baby, identified herself as Ruth Bitrus.

In a video posted by Zagazola, Ruth described how she managed to escape from Sambisa forest eight years after Boko Haram militants abducted her from her school in Chibok town, Borno.

She also revealed how her Boko Haram husband died while attempting to plant a bomb against the Operation Hadin Kai soldiers two years ago.

She revealed that other Chibok Schoolgirls were still being held captive in Sambisa Forest.

“It took me three days to escape from the insurgents enclaves. I took some food with me for my child. Some of the Boko Haram saw me while I was coming out but I ran to the bush to avoid being arrested,”she said.

Last month, Gallant Military Info reported that Nigerian Army troops rescued two (2) Chibok School girls namely Hauwa Joseph and Mary Dauda (Ngoshe), in different parts of Borno State.

Hauwa Joseph and Mary Dauda (Ngoshe), the 2 Chibok Schoolgirls rescued in June 2022.

The two girls were rescued after being kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists along with 274 majorly Christian female students aged 16 to 18 from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria, on the night of April 14–15, 2014.

The school had been closed for four weeks because of the deteriorating security situations prior to the attack, but the girls returned to take their final physics exams when The incident happened.

57 of the schoolgirls jumped off the vehicles on which they were being transported after the event, while others have been rescued by the Nigerian Armed Forces on several occasions.

Hopes have been raised that the 219 remaining girls might be released, however some girls are believed to be dead.

One of the missing girls, Amina Ali, who was rescued in May 2016 said the remaining girls were still alive, although six had died.

Over 100 of the girls are still missing as of April 14, 2021, seven years after they were abducted.
