Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal investigations’ homicide detectives have made a major breakthrough in solving the murder case of 6-year-old Beverly Mumo Musyoki, who was brutally killed by her own father Robinson Musyoki and stepmother Rose Muteti on August 24, 2020.
Prior investigations into the death of the 6-year-old revealed that the girl may have died as a result of the work of powers of darkness. However, the Kenyan homicide investigators discovered a new can of worms linking the two to the most heinous crime and arrested them yesterday in Emali, Makueni county of Kenya.
Beverly’s birth mother, Naomi Kiamba, learned of her daughter’s death via a phone call from her ex-husband on October 24, 2020.
During the phone conversation, her ex-husband, Robinson Musyoki, told her that he was on his way to the Montezuma funeral home because their daughter had been sick and died as a result of the sickness.
Naomi went to the funeral home only to be met by her daughter’s lifeless body, which was covered in bruises.
Dr. Johansen Oduor, the leading government pathologist at the time, stated that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, implying that the child died as a result of injuries associated with child abuse.

According to homicide detectives, after Beverly’s parents’ violent divorce, a children’s court ordered Robinson to stay with the children for one month, from October 29, 2019 to December 5, 2020, before returning them to their mother.
Naomi had not seen her daughter alive since her ex-husband, an engineer at the Kenya Pipeline, never returned her calls or returned the children.
According to investigations, Robinson had married another lady and moved in to live with her in an unknown location, which she (Naomi) was unaware of.
However, on December 16, 2019, Naomi returned to court and acquired an arrest warrant for Robinson, which was served at the OCS Industrial Area police station.
Robinson was unable to be located until nearly a year later, when he called Naomi to inform her of their daughter’s death.

The couple had lived peacefully and were good Christians prior to their divorce.
Naomi sang in the choir while her husband played the guitar at the African Brotherhood Church in Starehe.
But Naomi began to notice strange conduct from her spouse all of a sudden.
He began to drink alcohol despite being a teetotaler and would perform rituals involving animal blood. This pushed Naomi into sadness, causing their marriage to fall apart.
The deceased’s 11-year-old brother, who is a critical witness in this case, was also threatened with death if he revealed what happened before his sister died, according to the police.
The two accused are currently facing murder charges in Machakos High Court.
