The son of Zamfara State Commissioner for Security Affairs, and three others have been killed by terrorists during a ghastly attack at Namada area that hosts very important persons in the Zamfara State government.
On Sunday, April 3, 2022, terrorists reportedly killed Abba Muhammad Namada, son of D.I.G. Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe, Zamfara State Commissioner for Security Affairs, and another government official’s son.
HumAngle revealed that the attack took place at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.
According to HumAngle, both government officials live in Shiyar Namada, which is under Tsafe Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State.
Three more people were allegedly killed by the assailants while residents were praying at the mosque, according to witnesses.
“I can confirm to you that I saw Abba Muhammad Namada and son of Haruna Rabo killed,” an eyewitness identified as Naziru Bala Tsafe claimed. Their bodies were right in front of me.
I’ve even heard that three other people were killed in the deadly attack on the Namada area, which is home to high-ranking officials in the Zamfara State government.
“We won’t know the exact number of innocent people killed until Monday morning because we all fled and many of us rushed into the bushes while others hid throughout the attack.”
“It is a retaliation attack because unknown individuals killed a Fulani man [believed to have been affiliated to terrorists] at Fakon Idi on Friday here in Tsafe,” Nafiu Ibrahim, a Tsafe local who narrowly escaped, told HumAngle.
“We believe this is what precipitated today’s attack,” he added.
After leaving a mosque in Shiyar Namada, Shuaibu Nuhu, another eyewitness and D.I.G. Ibrahim’s neighbor, said he saw about 11 armed members of the terrorist group.
“They were clothed in army and police uniforms, and this area belonged to D.I.G Mamman Tsafe, so I assumed they were security people,” he stated.
