Hundreds of Ukrainian forces were killed in the early confrontations, according to officials, when the fight came at them from all sides at once. Official numbers placed the dead toll at 40, with ‘dozens’ of people injured. From east to west, cruise missiles, guided bombs, and GRAD rockets targeted airfields, military bases, ammo dumps, and command posts, including the capital.

Ukraine reported that six Russian jets were blasted out of the sky over the eastern Donbass region, killing 50 Russian troops, before Moscow boasted of regaining control of the skies. Heavy artillery, tanks, and troops from Russia and Belarus attacked Ukrainian border guards, according to Ukrainian border guards, while Belarusian tyrant Alexander Lukashenko pulled his forces into the war – though he denied taking part.

In the east of Ukraine, Luhansk, Sumy, and Chernihiv were all attacked, while tanks clashed on the outskirts of Kharkiv after paratroopers descended. Blasts were also observed in the west, near the Polish border at Zhytomyr and Lviv.

Aerial footage from Ivano-Frankivsk airport revealed what seemed to be a Kalibur cruise missile hitting into the airfield.

Civilian casualties was also reported from a Kharkiv residential tower, including a little boy.
