Yan Sara Suka: Niger Police Arrest 28 More Suspects For Youth Restiveness And Thuggery (Photos)

Yan Sara Suka: The number of persons who have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of a shop owner and a policeman during public disturbances by Yan Sara Suka Thugs has increased, the Niger State police has said.

Earlier today, Gallant Military Info reported that 32 Yan Sara Suka Thugs were arrested by the Niger State Police Command for the alleged murder of a shop owner and a Policeman during youth restiveness within the state.

The Niger State police, in a more recent press statement has said that the number of thugs arrested has increased, with another 28 being arrested in a joint operation by the military.

DSP WASIU A. ABIODUN, the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, said in the statement that;

“A joint task force comprising of the Police, Military, DSS, NSCDC, and Vigilantees launched an aggressive raid and house to house search on 25/01/2022 at about 0100hrs at Unguwar-Biri community area of Bosso LGA and arrested twenty eight (28) additional suspects in a continuous onslaught against youth restiveness, thuggery, and other acts of criminality in Minna metropolis.

“The military joint task force were able to make the following recoveries from the thugs:

“Ten (10) arrows, Seven (7) cutlasses, Eight (8) knives, Nine (9) sticks -Five (5) shisha pipes, One (1) wood cutter, One (1) axe, One (1) iron rod, One (1) iron cutter, One (1) scissor, One (1) fry wheel, Thirteen (13) handsets, Seventeen (17) sachets, Four (4) Indian-hemp nylon sachets, Various charms and a few wears and slippers.”

Abiodun also revealed in the statement that the mission to catch all unwanted elements and street urchins will continue until the metropolis is completely free of crooks.

Furthermore, Abiodun said the Niger State Command Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Bala Kuryas, fsi, has issued a warning to all troublemakers to cease or face the full wrath of the law.

He concluded that all the arrested suspects are being investigated by SCID in Minna, and will be arraigned in court for prosecution once the investigation is completed.
