Dead Body Of Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam Found, Somali Islamic Centers Of Ohio Calls For Justice

After a body was discovered that could be that of Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam, Imam Horsed Noah, outreach director of the Somali Islamic Centers of Ohio, called for justice.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Ohio chapter (CAIR-Ohio) and its national headquarters (CAIR) announced today a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in the death of Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam of Columbus, Ohio, whose body was discovered today.

Following his disappearance on Wednesday evening, community members apparently discovered the Imam’s body in Columbus Thursday evening, December 24. His identity is currently being verified by the police.

CAIR-Ohio also expressed sympathy for the Imam’s family and loved ones, calling for justice in the matter.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raajioon – To God we belong and to Him we return,” CAIR-Ohio Acting Executive Director Amina Barhumi stated in a statement.

The assassination of Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam of Masjid Abu Hurairah — a cherished pillar of the Columbus Somali Muslim community – has shocked and heartbroken us tonight. Our entire Muslim community in Ohio has experienced a sad loss.

“We demand that law enforcement undertake a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the assassination of this community leader, husband, and father. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and offer our unwavering support. CAIR-Ohio will demand answers and justice, and will keep our community updated on any developments.”

“Our sincere sympathies to the family of imam Mohamed Adam and the community,” CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad tweeted.

May Allah SWT bless his soul, pardon his sins, and grant him eternal life. CAIR is ready to assist his family in bringing the criminals to justice.”
