NSCDC Parades Suspected Bandits And Cattle Rustlers.
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp, Sokoto Command, on Monday paraded 9 suspects for linkage with high profile bandits who have been terrorizing the state.
It is no more news that, like Zamfara, northwestern Nigerian state of Sokoto has become a hot bed for notorious bandits, kidnappers, cattle rustlers and the Fulani herdsmen of West Africa once rated the fourth-deadliest terror group in the world. The recent arrest of these suspects further proves that the security forces in the region are doing everything in their power to rid the state of dangerous criminals.

A statement by the NSCDC via its official Facebook page revealed that the suspects were arrested at Fadamar Lugu of Giyawa district of Sokoto state, following a series of joint operations between the NSCDC and vigilante group of the Local Govt area. The suspects were reportedly arrested for various crimes which includes cattle rustling and banditry and a total number of 54 castles recovered from them.
The names of the suspects are given as; Buba Alh Bello (Dan delu) 20yrs, Adullahi Hassan (Yellow) 22yrs, Alti Shehu (Alti) 25yrs, Sani Alhaji Duna 18yrs, Abu Gidado 20yrs, Shehu Modibbo (Dan Acha) 20yrs, Ibrahim Modi (Majo) 20yrs.
In a similar news, two other suspected bandits and their informants were reportedly captured by gallant officers of Tsamiya out-post at Dabagi lafiya of Dange Shuni Local Government Area of Sokoto state. This particular feat was achieved after one of the bandits in custody gave officers a tip off which led to their capture.
The bandit in custody also voluntarily confessed to their involvement in two operations carried out at Lambar Tureta and Dorawa respectively, which left about 6 persons dead and a host of others kidnapped. The two suspects are; Muhammad Aminu (20yrs) and Buba Alh. Garba (30yrs). Their informants include one Umar Sanda (48yrs) and Nura Bello (34yrs).
Parading the suspects at Command Headquarters, the State Commandant assured members of the public that once investigations are concluded, they will be charged to court in accordance with the provisions of the law.
