The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a suspected 20-year-old kidnapper with the sum of N8,466,000.00, believed to be ransom paid by victims of his nefarious activities.
In a news published by Punch Ng, the Bauchi state police command have announced the arrest of a 20-year-old kidnapper. According to the news platform, the suspect was paraded on Tuesday at the state’s command headquarters.
The Commissioner of Police, Umar Sanda, stated this while parading the suspect alongside others at the command’s headquarters in Bauchi on Tuesday.
He revealed that a sum of N8.5 million believed to be paid as ransom by his victims was recovered. The police commissioner explained that the suspect was apprehended after the police received an intelligent report about his nefarious activities.
He said several arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspect, who is also a cattle herder.
The Bauchi state police commissioner also said that the suspect confessed to them that he is a cattle herder who participates in some criminal activities.
