Tope Fasanya, an 18-year-old female secondary school student who has been on the news headlines in recent times has finally revealed the reason why she poisoned her guardian.
According to the police, Tope poisoned her guardian in order to reunite with her biological mother.

It would be recalled that the 18-year-old student was recently detained by authorities in Ogun State for attempting to kill the guardian, Mrs Esther Bada, by putting rat poison in her food.
The suspect, was apprehended when the victim claimed she was experiencing severe stomach ache after consuming the food supplied by her.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State police spokesman, told reporters on Tuesday that “when the agony became so acute, the victime called the the 18-year-old suspect to come and eat the remaining food, but she refused,” leading her to suspect foul play on the girl’s side.
The victim was reportedly rushed to Owode Egba general hospital before being sent to the Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta for suitable medical treatment.
“The culprit was subsequently arrested,” Oyeyemi said.

She originally denied it during interrogation, and she was transferred to the state CIID’s homicide division, where she “gave a confessional admission that she genuinely injected rat poison into the victim’s food.”
According to Oyeyemi, preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect had been living with the woman since she was in Primary Three, when she was her class teacher.
Mrs Bada allegedly volunteered to aid the teenage girl after her father died, taking her in and supporting her education till she reached her current class.
“When questioned why she poisoned her guardian, the suspect, who regarded the victim as a very kind person, said she only wanted to see her mother, which she could only accomplish if her guardian was no longer alive.”
The suspect would be arraigned in court as soon as the inquiry is completed, according to Lanre Bankole, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State.
